Today, Brittny and I finally found an internship. Of course, worse came to worse and we have to work at her mom's job. In the morning, we filed papers until lunch, then after luch we had to go to the childcare center and watch the kids..(i hate kids and this was horrible)...the kids smelled, they kept falling down, which was the only funny part..

Today, Brittny and I finally found an internship. Of course, worse came to worse and we have to work at her mom's job. This week I finaly gave up on trying to find an internship that i really wanted to be at. This really disapointed me, because the point of this project was to be doing something you enjoyed to do. But anyways, now i asked my mom if she could call her friend that owns a security company, if we could come by there on mondays and answer phones and maybe file some papers. The lady got back to my mom and said that only one of us could come, but i didnt feel comfortable being there by myself so i declined that offer.

This week being break, and after few more calls to radiostations KMEL and 94.9 with no calls back we stayed home and kinda gave up. By now, we'd called over 30 numbers with no luck!

The second monday wasnt as bad, but just as unsuccesful. Tiny and I went online and found ovre 10 numbers each in the bay area. She looked up about 10 numbers for dog kennels and i found about the same for bakerys all around the bay. Her, me, and brittny called all of the numbers the next day and noone wanted us. Beginning to feel even more like rejects, we were getting discouraged.

the first day of internships we had much trouble.
Me, Brittny, Tiny, Dominique, Jahlil, and Irene went to california pacific trying to see if they needed help in any of their departments. then we tried to go to the NAACP, but got lost and could find it. After, we all went to the SF zoo trying to see what internships were available. Everything seemed like it was going great for the zoo, until we talked to the final descision maker. He told us that there were no internships for us, except in the summer, and there was nothing he could do. It took all our energy not to off on him, because everyone else said that it seemed possible. Frankly i think he didnt like us. Instead he gave us a sheet of paper with about 20 numbers, which we called and they also could do nothing for us.
